Take to the streets to support good cause

| CHARLIE and Lizzie Pearson meet Zara Philips, the Brain and Spine Foundation's London Marathon Team Captain |
A HALE family is on the look out for willing volunteers to participate in the Great Manchester Run for charity.
Father and daughter, Charlie and Lizzie Pearson of Leigh Road, have called for people to enter the race for the Brain and Spine Foundation on Sunday May 18.
The Pearson family have been long-running supporters of the cause ever since Lizzie made a miraculous recovery from a serious head injury in 1995.
She and Charlie, who has run several London Marathons for the charity, decided to choose an even this year that was a little closer to home.
Charlie said: "There are still spaces left to join the Brain and Spine Great Manchester Run Team. You do not have to be an Olympic sprinter to join us. This is a new venture for the charity and ideal for beginner runners. We will help you prepare for the event and support you too with a free t-shirt and after race party guaranteed. The crucial thing is to raise money for the charity."
Places are available until March 30. For further details contact Charlie at charlie.pearson@homecall.co.uk or ring 07970 781686 or go to www.brainandspine.org.uk or call Sarah Himelfield on 020 779 35910.
