WITH reference to the letter “Teenagers are in the same boat”. We the 60+ Group agree and will support any efforts you make to overturn this decision.

Come on then, form a pressure group like we have, we will help you with any advice we can. We have it on good authority that some children in parts of Trafford need free swimming for medical reasons. It is not on, come on kids and teenagers, get your parents, teachers and youth workers involved on your behalf now.

Hilda Laffey (Ms) and David Longton, For and behalf of the 60+ Group

Why don't you just build and fund your own pool and free up the letters page for other more "pressing" topics ?

Nula Bour? Who is she?

The letter was about the Leisure Centres, and as such the council is exactly who people should complain to.

Listen hear you pompous pillock.

The free swimming sessions are funded from central government by way of a grant. The problem here is the grant does not cover the cost of providing the free swimming sessions in Trafford.

Maybe we should go ahead with this and put YOUR council tax up to cover the deficit.
